How in the world would you put the special AirPort card in a PC? Mine is a Mac anyway but it's too old to AirPort. I just use a zip drive to transfer.

Cost is another thing. Premade GPS is very expensive.
It would be much cheaper to build one.

mp3's are the main attraction at first I think
You can store thousands of albums onto a hard drive, so they're available at finger tip. Also they're searchable when on a PC. It's just a lot easier when you have a byunch of music, especially non-album music
Custimization - You can write your own programs to do whatever task you want. If you can't program, you can still fully custimize it. Dolby 5.1 Surround sound is'nt available too easily outside of CarPCs
Also it's a learning experience, just a hobby. People enjoy it just 'cause.. its it's own end.

Hmmm, play any and every media format available.
Choose from several gps options.
Control your A/C, door locks, windows.
Voice control, contacts, weather, internet...
Shall I go on ?

Obviously you've spent far more than anyone with a computer could get. I think what you're really looking for is that it's cheaper to use a computer to get all of those things, a lot cheaper.
