Turn off check disk in XP

I've finally discovered how to keep XP from running check disk on startup after a non-graceful shutdown (all you fellow POS ITPS owners know what I'm talkin about). This is a registry modification:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager
REG_MULTI_SZ: BootExecute=""

with the autocheck autochk * removed you'll no longer be bothered with check disk.

enjoy

actually I found it myself while trying out a regedit I found googling that didn't work. I forget the key but it was a DWORD that basically modified the time you have to hit a key to skip the check disk and the site claimed setting it to 0 disabled check disk...nope just eliminated my chance to skip the check. It just happened to be in the same location as the BootExecute key. I figured what the hell, I'll delete the contents and see what happens
