Talking New guy here from VA beach, VA.

Hey there, thank u all for this great site. I'm looking foward 2 learnind more about the carputer

Here's a lil about my self. I'm stationed here in VA beach (NAVY), but raised in NJ. I'm getting a project car together and saw what they they did with a com on a show once, and figure i could do the same. The car is a 86 Monte Carlo SS that's going to have a LT1 installed in it. That's the main reason at first behind the carputer so I can run the EFI software as the car runs, but now I also realized what can be done. Well my Kenwood Keg is going out the window

Thank u again and hope to get to know u guys more.
take care

Sounds familiar! But are you sure you want a PC keeping your car reliable? My use of a car PC is driven by the desire to upload stored programs to my ECM. I'm planning on a stand-alone engine management system and instead of having the ol' laptop flopping around in the front seat, my plan is to upload the appropriate files the situation calls for, from the carputer.

Welcome!

Well I'll have the ecm to run the engine, but i want to be able to tune the EFI without a laptop. I'll be running LT1edit or tunercat.
