I want to use the lower storage compartment for the LCD housing seems that some have had some success at this. Any wiring diagrams or similar setup information would be greatly appreciated I do not think I have seem a Accord 07 install yet.

Im planning to do the same thing, doing my first carputer install, and deciding where the best place to put the LCD with less customization and keep as much factory look as possible. Im going to be using a old pentinum 3 laptop ($150 w/ shipping from ebay) to start the first beginner install. My main question right now lies are there are any LCD monitors that fit nicely on the Honda Audio Attachment Kit, without having to take appart the LCD and not use the back panel. Anyone here got pics of how they installed the LCD from the backend and if they kept the back panel of the LCD? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When you installed your Xenarc did you do any major bondo to the attachment kit? By looking at the pic you have, it seems your way has the least amount of bondo or "factory look" to it.. which is what I want in terms of getting the LCD intact onto the center console storage area. Does the Xenarc LCD that you use fit exactly with the bezel from the honda attachment kit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Nothing fits exactly. The attachement kit had to be cut up and bondo'd to the front of the xenarc and textured to look OEM.
NexSon did mine he has done a few since then and it looked and worked great.

Take their reviews into consideration though if you are thinking about getting this.

IDK if anyone is still checking this but... I have a 2004 accord that I have been considering upgrading with a Car PC. Here is my question: Does anyone know if I can install a AUXHOND3 kit or similar device that will allow me to route my Car PC's audio through the stock HU and still retain the use of my stock XM tuner and 6-disc changer? For that matter, I would even sacrifice the changer if I could still have the XM tuner and Car PC audio passing through the HU. Another thing, I am planning on using a Lilliput EBY701 as my display, does anyone know of a kit to install it in the cubby beneath the stock HU? It would be nice if I didn't have to fiberglass it in if at all possible.

Yep. basically you pull up on the center top vent section. Once that is clear you will see bolts for the top of the radio.

Are you talking about the In-Dash CD changer, or the Auxiliary one? Because you would have to loose the Aux one to use one of the adapters that I think you're referring to. This
is the one I use. Works great, but you would loose the Aux CD changer, if that's what you have. I'm guessing you don't though, since you also have XM. I would assume you have the In-Dash CD changer. But this would mean you would loose the XM feature. Although this might be able to work for you: Xm adapter Haven't used it myself, but this would put XM through the computer, which can be controlled by a frontend. If you go this route, you will still have the CD changer and XM capability.

Check out this page. It's how I figured out how to remove mine.

If you're trying to remove it to install one of these Aux adapters that Bob-phett is looking for, the plug is on the bottom of the radio. The radio won't need to be fully removed. But the cubby beneath would need to come out.

I have an 03 Accord with a completed Carpc project. Feel free to ask if there's anything else.

New Carpc project

Hi all,
I've been reading through the forum and I am a complete newb. I have a 07 accord sedan and I really want to put a carpc in it. I was wondering if anyone has wiring diagrams. Like from the battery to the engine fuse box and then from there to the firewall and to the internal fuse box. Also how would you wire it to the ignition switch and so on. Can you attach an inverter and use the 12V power supply that is located in the armrest? Or is that not recommended. Thanks for the help.

I used the positive (+) power off the 12v plug in front of the shifter. It works perfect as a IGN wire because it switches on and off with the car. You could use an inverter off the 12v plug in the armrest, but from what I've heard it isn't going to be ideal. Inverters tend to cause noise in the speakers. I'm using an M2-ATX for my PC, and wouldn't go any other route. It not only powers the computer, but it also turns it on and shuts it down.

As far as getting power straight to the computer, I ran two wires, one positive(+) and one negative(-) right off the battery in to the interior. I didn't have to go through the firewall. Instead, I found a small grommet inside the fender that I ran my wires through. If you take off the rear part of the front driver's side splash shield, you should be able to see it.

I have the LCD monitor powered off the wires behind the same 12V plug. This way, I never have to worry about leaving it on. I do plan to power it off my M2-ATX as soon as I get the initiative to switch some wires around in my car. The case I bought from mo-co-so.com has a plug on the back for a barrel connector, it's designed to power a monitor from the case.
