Honda factory touchscreen to get DVD working?

One of my buddies came over tonight to show off his completed car computer project... Well not really. He picked up a brand new Honda Accord Hybrid with ALL the options. The factory voice activated touchscreen (with xm and all) is AWESOME. 6 disc CD changer and then the lower section has a DVD player installed for the navigation software.

ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MODIFY THIS to get that DVD drive and the factory unit to play DVD movies?

I would have to say its a firmware issue. the hardware runs on firmware so you would have to mod / hack the firmware to be able to tell the hardware / software to accept the movie disk. but more to the point THEN you would have to find a way to install dvd player software somewhere to enable the hardware to decode and then display the movie on the touchscreen - its very hard and personally i would hack the back off and hook up that nice screen to dual screen it between the cars **** and the carpc you would have tyo install that pc first and have a controller to switch between the car and the pc
