Newbie's completed Tiburon project
Wow, I just found this site. You people are incredible. I thought I had something unique. But the stuff I've seen here is humbling. Wish I would have found it before I started my project. It would have saved me lots of time. I completed my Tiburon project, which includes a computer, vertical doors etc... in 6 months. Most of the time was spent on the car modifications. I added the computer in the last month. I am using centrafuse which I found at Fluxmedia.com. I see that most everyone has their monitor built into the dash. I will eventually do the same, although I really like how it is now. Here's a link to a Kodak slideshow. It lasts 5 min. with broadband. I will do a different one with just computer stuff. This one shows my whole project. http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLan...56_26136170208

Dam, thats pretty awesome!! I'm usually not a big fan of lights either, but your lights setup actually looks good.

Thank you. I felt the same about lights. I installed them just to show it off at night. But for people that don't know much about cars or computers, it really blows them away. Plus it took no effort to install them. I have captions under some of the pictures to help explain some of the stuff, like the lights.

Not bad.... I was wanting to do my doors like that, but it was kinda pricey. Especially if you wanted them to automatically open. Did you install them yourself and are they auto or manual?

It was just what I came up with. I don't hardly ever use it. I wanted it out of the way, but easy to get to.

Oops I misread your question. I thought you said why a keyboard in the visor.
It's a usb keyboard that I found at Comp USA. I'll have to look up the model. It's one of those designed for portable use. it's made of rubber and you can roll it up. Keys feel nice and solid. I bought it cuz it is thin and fit nice and flush into the visor. I glued it onto a piece of plexi to give it a hard flat surface. By the way, I love your car. By the way, again, this forum is great. I thought I was done with my project, but with all these ideas and resources available to me now, i dunno. I'm inspired to do more. Damn you all
