19v at 3160ma

Hey everyone, I'm planning Version 2.0 of my carputer install. I'm going with a slower e-pc this time, and it has a DC input. The DC input is 19v at 3160ma. I have an inverter and the transformer to work it that way, but hey - I'll ask if anyone know of a way to get 19v at 3160ma at least, and maybe get some help and a much more efficeint way. So.... Does anyone know fo a way to get 19v at 3160 ma in a car envirement? I imagine a transformer and some decoupling capacitors, and some sort of 19v regulator? Not a crictical part, just something im looking into.

a transformer won't do it ... transformers only work with AC. you'd need some sort of flyback circuit or something to raise your 12-14v in your car up to 19v ... not really my area of expertise

check out carnetix ... i think they have a PS for mac that does 19v.
