What kind of computer to pick

Okey, i have been thinking about an carputer for sometime.
But i can't seem to decide what kind of computer i want.

I have been thinking of an small ITX computer that i can mount in the dash or in the glove compartment.
The negative thing with this is that the computer wount be so powerfull, and the parts are more expensive.

the second choice that is cheaper, and i get more powerfull hardware.
This is to build an barebone or an another small pc and put it in the baggage compartment / trunk.
But the problem with that is i have noe idea how i can secure the computer for getting thrown around back there while im driving.

So anyone got any points for securing a computer in the trunk ?

Or got any other ideas, i realy do not need an powerfull computer but its just the way i think

Well, i dont need an powerfull pc, but i like to build for the future.
XVID are good enough now adays, but h264 is growing faster and faster.
This new codec has insane demands of cpu power and the via cpus simply ins't enough for movies encoded this way.

custom fabrication would fit it on your dash, but from what I can understand, the computer is design to run at 72 degree temperature so maybe it won't perform well under a constraint condition.
