1. What pc car you using?
2. Yes, you will need some sort of amp or headunit to push your "side" speakers. If you run a headunit you will need one with a aux input...but this will require you to relocate the head unit.
3. As for battery drain...why is your battery going dead or are you worried abou this.
4. What interface of DVDRW will you be putting up front? (IDE, USB, Firewire)
5. Don't forget to search. There is tons of info on this site.

And that, my friends, is why we tell people we need more information to assist in resolving these sorts of problems. There is no need to get all jumpy. You're the one that throws out a bare minimum of information and want a solution.
And trying yourself with interpretive simleys doesn't help either.

Let's start with the simple things:
IS this Dell a desktop or a laptop?
Is the DVDRW a slim drive, like for a laptop (since you say it's not full-size)?

If its a laptop drive, you could get one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

(I bought that one)

That will convert it to ata, which in turn you can convert with another cable to usb...
