ps2 in a car ?

Hi ... i have a few questions ...

i wanted to install a playstation 2 (fat model) and a 8" overhead screen in my car. my question is , is there any other way to power up the PS2 beside using inverter ? my country uses 230v. it's pretty scary thinking 230v will be flowing under the car carpet. how about using a dc-dc psu and wired it up to the ps2 ? izzit possible ?

look on the back of the ps2 and there should be a stiker on it and it tell you what the input voltage is and also the output voltage, if the output is around 12 or so or even 18 then you can bypass the inteernal regulator and run it streight to the battery if it is 12-13V but if it is 18 or something larger then you will still need a different inverter, but also check if it has a 110/220V switch on it, if it does then just switch it to 110V and get a 110V inverter

They do, see the link I posted above, it is for the large version.
If you want to power a slim version, it is even easier.
