P4 - not mini?

trying to get into the scene and have found alot of interesting things but one thing i haven't seen at all (unless it was like a 266) is someone running with anything other than a mini board.

i currently have a desktop that will be replaced and would like to use in my truck (plenty of room under the rear bench). this is a P4 1.3G (older pin style). from my research it looks like i would need the 150W PSU.

Guess the real question is would it work and also power issues with such a power hog chip - would i need to address power issues like installing a second battery?

As long as you have the means to power it, you can run anything you want.

I suggest reading as much as you can in the FAQ Emporium to gain information. Also, check out the Show Off Your Project forum for inspiration.
