Installing line out converter in 2006 Honda Civic?

Hey guys, I need some help...I have a friend who wants me to install some speakers into her 2006 Honda Civic and I have a 05' hyundai tiburon myself, and i had no problem installing them in my car, but i was checking this forum and it said that the 2006 Honda Civic does not have rca outputs in the factory radio system.

So, on that note, i read in a forum before this that I have to install a line out converter to install the rca cables...how is this done?? I've never had to install a line out converter before and how do i do this with this car...Also, the radio is way different from my tiburon and how do I get the dash off of this car...???

And finally, i also read that you could wire the cables to the rear speakers, but if i do this, how do i install the remote turn on cable, don't you have to plug this wire into the cd player for it to work or could you wire it to the rear speakers too??

Please guys, anyone with any information on my problem that can help me out would be greatly appreciated...and once again, my main concern is how do i install the line out converter??? I"ve never had to do this before....thanks...

its exaclty what it says. you take the speaker lines coming out of the radio and hook them to the convertor. RCA's are only 2 wires for a speaker connected to a jack for easy connections. split the line, and install the converter use the rear right and left. your wire will still go to the speakers, but it will also send the same signal back to your amp/subs.

yes you can also take the signal from the rear speakers. and regardless of what way you connect to the speakers, youll have to run a remote turn on from an acc turn on from in the car. (something that turns on when you turn the key). run the wire the same time you run power to the amp.

if this is too hard, go to best buy or circuit city and have them install the amp for ya for a couple bucks. as far as the dash coming apart,

have fun.

Thanks Yrean for your helpful insight..like i said before, this is only the second time i have wired a speaker set up in a car and with the new technology and the in-car amp bypasses make things hard to understand sometimes...but yeah, i'm still a newbie, trying to get some hands on experience so i don't have to ask dumb questions like this....lol...but anywho, thanks once again for the helpful answer.....and plus tired of paying people to do stuff i know i can do, but i've just got to get that hands...and with your comment, it'll help out..thanks...
