Question M4A (MPeg4) Conversion to MP3

I'm looking for a good FREE software download that I can use to convert some of my newly acquired M4A files to MP3's. It sems that the winamp I'm currently using in RR doesn't recognize M4A's. Just looking to do this conversion for the time being......... thanks.

i think you can try it for free, but honestly, for as good a job as it does with protected files, you should think about buying Tunebite. It's only like $20 and it converts any protected format like WMA or M4A to another format of your choice and it does it quickly. It kind of exploits a legal loophole to do so, so watch your usage, but it will get the job done for you.

Thanks for that GoHybrid. I did find one download but you're only able to do 2 files per session. With over 180 files to do so far, I could be there forever.

BTW, I see another Vandetta fan.

Yay Vendetta! Anyway... if you get the new version of Tunebite, it's got a 4x dubbing plugin for media player so you can get a whole cd done in little over 15 minutes and it transfers all the tag information and everything to the new file. I promise it's the best money you can spend. And it appears to be legal too. Just buy the program!
