2003 nissan altima

I have a 2003 Nissan Altima, currently in the planning stage and have come across a problem with a mounting location for my 7" Touch Screen

I'd like very much to keep my HU where it is, mount the touch screen in the lower cubby(in front of the shifter, below the climate controls)

what do you all think?

I thought of that in my Altima. You can do it. You just have to crate a mounting braket. Pretty much have to cut and mold the sides of the cubby hole. If memory serves correctly, the cubby hole is about 5 inches. You could have to mold everything yourself. You could always get rid of your center vents and mount a screen there.

thank you for your replies

well, i don't want to loose the vents, and i think it would be too far to reach comfortably while driving....i'm probably going to go with the lower cubby, i just need some time to figure out the angle i want it at, and how to mount it.

thats a 7 xenarc touchscreen. it was easy to cut out and mold it. i just sold it a couple of days ago. the buttons are for relays that connect to the neons, strobes, DDE's, Leds etc etc

Too low for my tastes. I need to keep my eyes on the Texas lunatics trying to kill me with their cars that if I glance down for a second I swear they will get me. I put mine in the upper cubby on my 06 Altima but I bought the nav bezel instead of making one. You cant beat the look of OEM parts.
