Another newbie w/ 0% carputer knowledge

Really like the carputer idea but have no clue (even when members list out all parts needed) what they are.
I'm a member of many car forum (know the rules) so i'll sit back and research/read before posting up any meaningless threads.
This forum rocks

Ask yourself what you want out of your car pc. Are you going for just mp3's? Does sound quality matter to you? Do you want GPS? Are you building expensive or are you on a budget. Figure out what you expect out of your system first then start in the FAQ's.

Read all the FAQ posts and re-read them again. Once you get an idea of the parts you need, then you can start deciding for yourself which parts are best for you and which parts you'll need and the ones you don't.

That implies he not only has a lump of grey matter in his skull, but is willing and able to make good use of it.

Welcome to our asylum, stogey.
