indash dvd and 98 jeep grand cherokee

hey,

i was wanting to buy a indash fold out dvd player for my 1998 jeep grand cherokee. Problem is is that it would have to stick out about 3 inches because the dash over hangs over the radio. Has anyone customized theyre dash to fit one of these or have any ideas on how to overcome this obstacle? Whats weird is that bestbuy says that they will not fit in my car but circuit city says it will and multiple other sites say it will.

thanks

I have the same jeep, I was going to get a non-motorized 7" screen to put into the dash. This way I can move it anyway I want, since that hanging part over the dash makes it hard to install anything motorized.

I think this guy went and moved the AC controls to the HU area and vice versa to get it to fit.

another thing you can do is install it upside down then use your graphics card to flip the image. Ghetto but it would solve your problem.
