Smile New here.. 2002 WRX with fabrication experience

Hello everyone,

Finally I got my activation email and am now able to post. I've done a lot of fabrication in the past and am now on to building my carputer. So far I have aquired:

- 7" lilliput touchscreen
- 8GB CF card for hard drive (winters here will freeze a HD)
- IDE - CF adapter
- USB mini-keyboard
- USB 802.11 wifi
- XP Home
- RoadRunner Front End

I was originally going to motorize the LCD to come out of my dash but there were two issues.
1) Not a whole lot of room in there to motorize it
2) I'm a little on the short side (5'6") and couldn't reach the screen while seated comfortably

So I'm planning on probably putting in the screen like the new audi S5:

I have some spare PC parts right now for a P3 500 but will likely pick up a newer motherboard with onboard sound and video to keep the size down.

So far I have been having some trouble getting the PC to boot from the CF card.. XP installed to it just fine, but the PC won't boot to it

I've attached some pics of other projects that I have taken on and will be starting my widebody for the car this spring as well.

I look forward to participating in some fun discussions.

And for fun:

Welcome Mr Wane. As you probably already know there's lots of information on booting from a CF card in the forums so I'm sure the answer to your problem is here somewhere. Good luck.

Do I see a Kenwood Excelon? Did you have any of the amps? They weren't the best, but they were quite gorgeous. The power slide fan and the neon triangle. <~~ Don't misread that comment.
