digital dash question

hi everybody, im a newbie. anyway my question is, i have an 89 ford probe lx with a analog guage dash and i wanted to put in a digital dash from another probe of the same year, is it a simple swap or do i need to change the wiring connector to fit the digital dash, can anyone tell me what needs to be done to do this swap.

No promises, but I might be able to help if you can tell me what model the donor car and your car is: GL,GT, or LX.

Edit: After researching this, the answer is no, not without marjor parts swapping, at least other harness and connectors. The connectors are different and the pinouts are not even kind of close. PM me for a diagram if you like.

There may be more to it than that, the sensors (oil,etc) may be different. The best way to check is to take the diagram I have waiting for you, and look up each component that is connected in the circuit at a parts store (rockauto.com works well) and see if different components are listed for digital dash vs. analog. This could get expensive. I would spend much time planning this before going to gather parts. But, that's how I do everything.
