Unfortunately ebay (and sellers in Hong Kong) are your best source for cheap hardware. Regular businesses tend to be 10%-30% more expensive.

I have been researching the VIA boards, but can't seem to land on one that is "the best -$200 board" Any ideas?

I bought the CN 10000 from newegg.com which is fanless, supports SATA and has lots of USB connectors :
Newegg.com - VIA EPIA-CN10000EG 1.0GHz VIA C7 nanoBGA2 Embedded Processor VIA CN700 Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU Set - Retail

Running it with Google Earth, CoPilot 10, Boingo, and voice recognition without too many problems. I am not planning to use it for music/video playback so no idea what the performance for that might be.

It's hard to tell from Via's product descriptions, but it seems like most boards are very similar to each other so I think if you find a good deal just go for it.

That's pretty much what i'm gonna be using it for (Navigation, Audio and Video.. Also, gonna wire up some USB 8-Bit Nintendo controllers for emulators..) Anyways, from the research I've done, it seems like no board would be good alone for audio, but an external card would do the trick... So, in the board, I guess i'm not looking for good audio anymore. I was looking at that board as well, but since I'm looking for SPEED as my main thing, should I be looking more towards a board like the VIA EPIA SP13000? I would rather get the best "Bang for the buck" but when it comes to boards/procs.. How much is too much? I'll also need to get a suitable power supply..

I'm wanting to make my board/PS purchases Sunday Night (so i get them HOPEFULLY during that week).
