Boost Mobile Motorola i455 battery problems

I just bought my second i455 motorola phone for boost mobile and the battery is already dead after 14 hours without me even using it. I had to return my first one because of the same thing. What the hell is wrong with these phones?!?! I can imagine buying one defective one but two??

I found that the battery life on the i455 isn't that great but it is *greatly* extended if you are not running a java app such as mologogo on it. Make sure you aren't running any java apps and that there aren't some kind of settings on the phone that are transmitting periodically.

Any java apps running that haven't been shut down? Like suspended apps?

There's a selection on the main menu of the phone called "suspended apps". Check that to see if you have anything running.

It's a brand new phone. Everything is set to default just like yours would be when you first got yours. I've haven't even activated it.

Another n00b...

That is about right for any Nextel phone.

The battery life is terrible.

Reason being is that iden phones are always looking for service. Especially if the phone is not activated, it will keep pinging the network trying to find an account that is active.

oh yeah I didnt even think about that.

At my house I dont really have good iDen service, and my phone lasts about 7 hours because it is continually looking for towers.
