My husband and I were in San Antonio this weekend for the San Antonio Heat Wave and Trifecta event since we compete with the car in car audio pretty seriously.
We were staying at a Days Inn in downtown. Sunday morning we were going to walk to the Dennys for breakfast. Turned the corner and found a black fuzz ball on the ground, huddled up against the hotel on the sidewalk next to the street. Bent down and found that she couldn't see.
Natually, being a cat person (already had 4 at home), I started balling.
We took her to she show, got some kitten food, etc. Monday morning, back here in Dallas, we went to the vets office before ever getting home. Come to find out, she has a herpies virus that was passed on from the mother durring pregnancy and will be mostly blind (might be able to see shade and light).
She's the sweetest kitten I've ever seen. Vet said she's 5 weeks old...maybe.
You can just touch her with the tip of your finger and she immediately starts purring.
We've been keeping her in the bath tub in the guest room when we're not home. The other cats aren't real sure yet, but that's been the case every time we've introduced a new kitten to the house. She can find her way to the litter box in the bath tub and to the food and water with little trouble.
She's perked up quite a bit since we found her. Responded extremely well to the ear mite meds, eye meds, and the deworming we had done at the vet Monday morning.
All-in-all, she's bounced back 100%.
I'm trying to think of a name for her. I want something that tells a story about her...in a single word. 'Lucky' is just too...normal.
Our other cats: Daytona, Charger, Cuda, and Sugar (yes, we like Mopar as well as Dubs). Any ideas?
We're kinda thinking Echo.
Some other suggestions we've heard: Ray, Sonar, Radar, etc.
