2001 VW Beetle WVO Conversion

My Dad and I are converting his 2001 VW Beetle TDI Diesel to run on Waste Vegetable Oil(WVO). We started a blog for it at http://www.danielgibbons.net/wvobeetle. It will be updated as the progress continues with pictures and videos. What do you guys think about it?

wizardPC will become famous soon enough
oh hell yeah!

I'm thinking about doing this to a diesel silverado in the next year or so. My future wife wants to move two counties over which would make my daily commute about 80 miles. I told her I'd more seriously consider it if she let me do this. (funny, though, this weekend she started saying we should look at houses closer to where I work....)

I thought about making biodiesel, but it seems like an awful lot of work. With a WVO conversion, all the work is up front, with a little work to filter the oil. Is that about right?
