Reno- need some help from someone that lives there, near airport
My buddy and I are heading out to the Reno area for some festivities in Aug. We have a couple of scooters that they will not let us ship on the airplane. We can however ship them to Reno through a frieght service. We are "supposed" to be getting in around 10:45 on Aug.29, and we should be able to get out of there with our car rental by 11:30. What we need is for someone to be trustworthy and just a person willing to help out. All we would do is send our scooters to you, you put them in your garage till we get there,we grab them that night and go. Or if anyone else has some suggestions, let me know thanks!

What about having them shipped to the hotel? I sure you could arrange something with them.

Are these gas powered scooters? Is that why you cant take them on the plane? If they arent, then just wrap them up in a brown box, and it will be ok. But of course no gasoline.
Also you could have it shipped USPS to some address that doesnt exist. Then when it gets to the post office, you just bring down your ID and the tracking number and pick it up.
They hold it there for 3 days and then return to sender, and it might be a lot of hassle, so do that as a last resort!

I would think they are either too big for USPS or have gasoline "or some other liquid". Otherwise he could ship them to a post office in Reno with "Hold for pickup".

no electricity (except what you bring), running water (except what you bring) no cell phones, no radio (except for the burningman radio station) no buying or selling. everything is on trade or a barter system, and it's a celebration on ART. Very hippy mentallity, it's like woodstock for art.
