What's with the sudden flood of newbs?
Is it me or is there a sudden wave of newbies on the board?
Where are they all coming from?
The only thing I can think of is kids going to college/uni since it's the start of the new school year. But then again college/uni freshman rarely have cars..
hmmm I don't remember how I found the forum either I think I followed the link off of someone's project page maybe.

I haven't noticed. I looked at the members page and it looks like the usual amount of new members. Prehaps n00bphobia?

Maybe I'm just reading more topics that I'd normally ignore.. or people are becoming lazier.. or I'm just paranoid

Or shin just has more time on his hands, you know, without being able to tinker with his car. How about removing that giant "Nail Me!!" bumper sticker off of your car?

Maybe I am a newb to posting on this board but I have lurked mp3car.com for at least a year and a half. Usually I just read and not post but here recently I have gotten the mp3car addiction so bad i needed to start posting some questions
The term 'n00b' always seems to have a negative connotation. Once my project is finally on wheels (literally) I will post pics and a website for all to view. It will document everything from the ground up. Many pictures have already been taken and as soon as the rest of my parts come in it's 'go time'.

Were not out here to pick on people. To some here it just seems that there's been a recent resurgance of memberships.
I for one am glad to see "new" faces. Especially after the thread about a month ago about the death of the MP3 car community. We're not dead, we're just busy planning our systems.

good call.
it would be great to see more people get involved in the 'art' of building a computer for your car.
i know it definetly helps me gain understanding on hardware and software issues. it seems everytime i build a new machine i have a problem and learn something new from it. so it's all good

I think this is it, people google for something and this is the first site in the results so they just sign up and ask all types of questions pertaining to nothing about carpcs or computers in general.
