TalonTek???

Does anyone remember those old TalonTek computers that were about the size of a shoebox, that were advertised as being for a car, back in the late 90's?? I remember happening by either this site in another form or another site with a very similar name and goal, as it relates to this site's name (simple LCD and a very old computer, with the basic goal of playing mp3's in the car). I was searching for this kind of stuff, wanting to interface with a MoTec setup. Man it's come so far since then. If this site is the one I saw back then, are the old pages still available to visit online?

As far as I can remember TalonTek was the first? Were there others? Were there others before that?

heh, that was it, thanks for finding that. They were like 3000-5000 USD back then, and 200MHz was a little slow even back then. They really tried to sell on the shock resistance factor. I almost dove in, but my x-wifey just wouldn't let me spend that kind of dough.

That's what the computer was going to be for actually, one big, expensive turbo button.
The planned install was a twin turbo fuel injected small-block 70' Challenger with the MoTec controller.
