Actuator

I installed a new actuator in my rear door because the one in it would not work in my car so after trying to figure out where to mount it i finally did and it worked..........but.... after the inital forward progression it makes to unlock the door like a 1 or 2 sec delay it moves like half an inch and makes the noise again but nothing happens and when pulling back to lock it, it has the same delay and moves the opposite away half an inch but nothing happens

now i dont really mind it but the noise is kind of annoying and i was wondering if anyone knew why it might be doing it? it seems like it gets sent the information once and then kind of again... I have no idea so any help is great

Thanks
