E-bay just changed their policy to where a seller can no longer leave a neg or neutral rating for any buyer. This was done to allows buyers to beat up on sellers that suck without fear of getting slammed back.

Not sure I love it, being a seller and a buyer, curious to see how that plays out...

Or to stop Power Sellers from holding buyers hostage with retaliatory negative feedback.

And before any smart comments , I am a Power Seller, so I can see both sides of the issue. Sellers who offer a good product and fast shipping and good communication have nothing to worry about. Yes they will still get an idiot buyer now and then who leaves a stupid negative, but that used to happen a lot anyway.

I never get feedback from buyers if I leave feedback first. It would be better if positive feedback was held until both did it. Well, that's my rant for the day.

Not really fair on some sellers.

No matter what you do, it is very difficult to please some customer. Now that the changes had taken place, some buyers are now taking advantage of it. "GIVE ME FREEBIES OR ILL NEG YOU." Some buyers love giving out neg without even contacting the seller first. To them if the seller send a broken item, wrong part, or whatever they immediately assume the seller is out there to scam and so give a neg without giving the seller a chance to resolve the problems.

In ebay sellers future relies heavily on the rating. Get bad DSR you get no discount, get negs or neutrals you can get kicked out. The other thing the non performance is based on 30 days now, get below 95% and you are out. If you dont sell alot per month, it only take one undeserve NEG and you be banned.

Its very easy to get rid of the competition too, get enough account and NEG the seller. I have seen this happend in the UK site already.

If either of these happen you can contact Ebay and they'll remove the negative.

It's on the page where you leave feedback for the buyer now. You can click the "Report a problem you had with this transaction." link and it takes you to this page :
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/report_problem.html

And there you can click one of these :
Unpaid Item
You didn’t receive payment for an item you sold on eBay. Learn more

Feedback Extortion
The buyer is threatening to leave negative or neutral Feedback for you unless you provide goods or services not included in your original listing. Learn more

Feedback Abuse
The buyer included your name or phone number in a Feedback comment or is bidding on your item solely to leave you negative Feedback. Learn more

Unwelcome and Malicious Buying
The buyer does not meet the terms you’ve outlined in your listing and is not permitted to bid on or buy the item. Learn more

Customs Fraud
The buyer is requesting you to provide false information on a customs declaration form. Learn more

Report Another Problem
Get help with other eBay transaction problems or safety concerns.

So Ebay is trying to help sellers out now. It's not all gloom and doom.
