Where to start to create a customized mounting enclosure?
Sorry this isn't automotive related, but I would appreciate suggestions on how to create a customized wall mounting enclosure for an iPod touch.
I've designed a home automation and control system throughout my condo. These systems are usually controlled with wall mounted touch screens, however, I wanted to do something slightly different.
I actually want to use an iPod Touch instead of these larger, "dummer" and more expensive touch panels. I prefer the price, quality, power consumption and form factor of the iPod Touch compared to existing options. It's already so close to being the size of single gang wall switch.
I've started to create a native Touch application to interface with my home automation and control system and would like some tips on how to create an enclosure and faceplate to mount the iPod Touch flush with a wall.
I think this would be useful for various home control products. How could a mold be created to mass produce a part like this?
