Have any of you fixed the rear deck so it stops vibrating (that is, if you have subs)?

Mine rattles around too. I haven't tried to fix it. My aftermarket 6x9 speakers don't fit on the holes the factory 6x9's fit in, so I'm trying to fix that first.

Well, this weekend I took apart my rear shelf. It was a pain. I don't have fold-down rear seats so I had to remove them, the trim around the rear shelf, the rear speakers, and then the rear shelf itself. I then used a whole can of rubberized undercoating on the rear shelf and then glued on thicker carpet padding. It helped a lot but if I turn up my subs a lot I still get rattling. Atleast I can listen to my bass-intensive music at reasonable volume levels now without the resonance. Before I could not.

Hey, I had this problem with my 94 Grand Am several years back. I fixed it by removing the deck and lined rear window with strips of dense, stiff foam. I believe I used the packing material from a cd deck I purchased. It was slightly visible, but it removed the rattling.

Do you have pics of your setup? I have a 2001 mali. Try checking the trunk just under the rear deck. On mine, there are straps that you pull to release latches that allow the seats to fold down. I would use the foam strips like Mears said and use foam for behind the license plate. If you want to make the whole trunk rattleproof on the cheap, you can use that asphalt based roofing paper from Home Depot instead of dynamat b/c it is basically the same stuff. I have my underbody sprayed with this stuff that dampens sound from road noise. That works pretty good too.
