OK, i've posted about this before, but i'm having another problem and i don't know of any other forum-type places to go (other than tech support(EVIL(& $3/minute))).
i've been messing with this Sapphire Radeon 9000 pro 128 for like 2 weeks now that i got for christmas. The only fuss i have is the Tv-out. it will output to the TV, but will be EXTREMELY flickery... the weird part is that i have my 6.4" LCD hooked to the composite out on my TV (20" Toshiba flatscreen) and that always displays perfectly. it should also be noted that my dvd player was perfectly viewable using the exact same s-vid connection on the TV.
output was great right when i got back to school from xmas break. at some point it got screwed. i have uninstalled everything i had on my system that was anywhere near video-related. started with the catalyst 2.8 drivers, updated to 3.0 a week ago, and just tried c 2.5 tonite. none have worked except the 2.8 which worked initially. ATI control panel has been reinstalled numerous times.. new directx 9 install with every driver install. have tried every resolution and everything possible..
could it be an NTSC/PAL problem (not very versed in these)????
i would suspect that it was a screwed card, but last week i used system restore to roll my system back to its '1 week ago' state, and the ouput worked great, i just couldn't live with the restore side effects so i had to put it back to its 'normal' state.
this got really long... DOES ANYONE HAVE
ANY IDEAS??? i'm not scared to wipe my XP install , and i think i'm going to go ahead with it at noon tomorrow if no one can think of anything..... o yeah, just fully updated XP with windows update tonite too ... no go....
please tell me this is something stupid i overlooked... i'd like to get back to watching my winamp vis and Divx movies on the screen again
later,
nathan
EDIT: speeling and wow did that get long.....
