Lightbulb Tax for buying a vehicle out of state?

I heard that there is a tax for buying vehicles out of state, what is it?; and would it still apply if say, the seller drove the vehicle into your state and sold it there, or does it always apply.

Check your state's DMV for details on taxes associated with registering a vehicle there. This probably varies by state.

Yeah you will need to pay "in state" tax when you go to register your car. I got a car from Massachusetts and I live in texas and had to pay 6.5% of the purchase price
