No shortage of idiots...
http://memberpages.esmartbuyer.com
This bozo just copied my site and changed the title to "Construct Da MP3 Playa" and the copyright statement at the bottom.
I don't care if my site is mirrored, but mirror the WHOLE THING (don't just link to files on my server) and leave the credit intact.
Who was the other person that this happened to?

I think the name of the other guy is Rob Heslop(the one in love with the Mini).
How did you find out about the copy of your website?

He is linking the image fils from your site?
In that case, do you have access to your site to create a .htaccess file? This file allows you to add some code that serves images on your site only to HTML also hosted on your site. If they are linked to, it would redirect the request to an image more suitable. I'll leave your imagination up to the task of revenge

You don't even need to do that. Rename the images, and replace the old image file names with the more exciting image.

Yes, you can, but then the htaccess method stops this guy, and then anyone else that wishes to try in the future. It's also a LOT quicker than editing lots of file names and HTML references to them.
It also supports pointing to a different image, whatever floats your boat Aaron

Unfortunately, he has the images stored on his server. He's linking to stuff like my player, ImpeeAmp, and other large zips.
I sent an email to their abuse email address, but haven't heard anything. Being that it's a free host, I doubt I will.

Send them a letter on a fake law firm letterhead. Use a letter posted elsewhere on the web as an example.

If it's just your zips, It would not be too hard to replace them
with very large zips containing some sweet images or corrupt
files. Don't want to suggest putting a virus in them. But it would make him very unpopular.
Just a though!

I believe the other guy who this happened to was rob whithey
Good luck with roasting this POS.
Have you considered submitting his email to marketing engines and porn subscriptions? Simple yes, but annoying none the less.
I might also suggest making the files he linked into redirections..
I had a problem where some forums were linking to a semilarge icon library on one of my websites, I used the .htaccess trick and it worked a treat. You could also just make it link to a blank file to minimize data transfer if you consider it an issue. (for me it was causing an excess of .5millon links per month)
It really bugs the hell out of me when people do this crap.

Yeah, rob had the exact same thing happen to him, and as most of the people here arent nearly as stringent watching their web log files, that its happened in other cases. Altho i have no clue why people do it. so they can show other people on the internet

Ok, now this may seem a little naive on my part but, what does he gain from doing this?
