So the World War II was won only by the US…
No mention to the URSS ? UK ? French ?
I think history book are not the same on each country…
By the way I don’t accept that you don’t respect actual German people…
What was the cause of the World war II ?
As I see not only the actual president of the US think he is the most intelligent person on earth…
50% of the US citizen are again a war without the ONU agreement?
Sorry that you legitimate the genocide that the US is doing on the Irak country…
Greetings from your mother contry…Europe!

i don't know if anyone knows the real reason why France is trying to stop this war.. but there is a France + Sadam connection. France has like a 60 billion dollar deal with sadam .. yes sadam.. not iraq.. but sadam to develop oil fields in southern france. So all this crap i hear about france saying we are doing this just for the oil.. well they are trying to stop this just for the oil. If they crashed a plane into anything in france.. i'm sure they'd be singing a different song.

I'm confused by what exactly we are supposed to be learning from those links. The first one just mentions that Citgo and a French company were buying *legal* Iraqi oil, under the UN oil for food program. The second link just mentions that a French and a Russian company have/had a deal with Iraq. Neither backs up the claim (that I have *never* seen before) that hijinks21 posted.

And this site pretty much sums it up..
French Oil Giant, TotalFinaElf, has secured a contract with saddam that oil experts see as being COMPLETELY lopsided in favor of Total. French gov't has been accused of offering political support to saddam in exchange for such a lucrative contract. This contract would bring 60 - 70 billion euro's into france when the trade embargos are lifted.
As reported by an Irish Newspaper:

yeah 60-70 billion euros is a good reason not to pressure Iraq and to keep giving them time for whatever....

Alright. Im just messin around. I dont want to start a what country is the best war. Although I am still ****ed at france, germany and china ect for wanting to give saddam more time. I think hes had enough and we should act before he can take out the whole world.
Just my opinion.

I dont see any reason why any Americans should be majorly ****ed off at france. They are our ally, we should not forget that. We owe them alot, if it were not for France there probably wouldnt even be an America (American Revolution). I can see why people would be mad, and I myself am somewhat dissapointed, but we should respect their decision. There is no reason we, as Americans should be mad at france for deciding diffrently about a situation than we do. Also, what about all of the other countries not helping the US out, why are people not mad at them. I guess im just mad at all of the flak Frace is taking over this. And we definatly should respect them, as well as all other people.

Raas....I tell you who wouldn't hardly notice that Saddam is still there - the tortured and oppressed people of Iraq. Way to show a little compassion - all the way in the Netherlands - he would hardly be noticed - right. This war is not about oil, not about Bush or his Daddy as you say. It's about doing something that the UN couldn't, or dare I say, wouldn't. The US is not liked in several little pockets of the world. It is mostly due to jealousy. That hatred is one of the main reasons for this war. We need to be sure that our people do not wake up to a massive bio attack or worse! The Iraqi people are begging us to come in and rid them of this horrible dictator. They have lived in fear long enough. We should have continued to Baghdad the first time - the people were uprising and holding off the Republican Guard, waiting for us to come but we never did. That was not in the UN's plan. We will not make that same mistake - this time, the seed of democracy will be planted in Iraq and, make no mistake, the Iraqis will be better off than they ever have been. If you doubt the desire of the Iraqi people, I will post a few links on the bottom of this post - please, read them before you say that Saddam would 'hardly be noticed'
PT Cruiser-
How can you saw WE are committing genocide on the Iraqi people? Look closer and you will see that the perpetrator is their own leader!
On the streets of Baghdad - just two weeks ago, A man was caught slandering Saddam. He was tied to a lamp post, his tongue was cut out and he was left there to bleed to death as a warning to the other prisoners of Iraq. Not convinced? One fifth of the population is in exile! Maybe you would rather be put slowly through the human shredder? How about a tire filled with gasoline and lit on fire placed around your neck? Surely a slow and painful death. Please - The US and genocide should not ever occur in the same sentance.
Wait until the smuggled videos from the human shields air. Yes, even those people, who were against the war to the point that they became human shields, have been 'snapped back to reality' as they put it, by the pleading they caught on video.
You will soon see rejoicing on the streets of Baghdad. Freedom is coming. It is NOT only for the select few in Europe and US. It is unstoppable. Once they have a taste, it will never leave.
- Jeff

Wow, from jokes to flames.
Way back when, most of the US peoples were European Immigrants, and still had close family ties to Europe...However we wanted to be left alone, thought the Kaiser (WWI)...then Hitler(WWII)...wouldn't bother us...
After all, we had oceans to protect us. Even as late as WWII.
We were asked to help our European brothers. So we sent aid, some arms, and had some volunteers go fight. But really we felt it was none of our buisness, if we leave them alone, then they will leave us alone...what have they done to us...
Then the Japanese screwed up the plan and bombed us early. That made us mad, and we started a military industry and geared the entire US toward defending freedom. We had 200,000 of our soldiers die in the European and Japanese theaters...
Later we found the beginnings of Nukes that the Nazis were working on...they already had a delivery vehicle (the V2) . We also found out later that the Holocaust had been going on and the Nazis killed...what millions? hundreds of thousands? of innocent men women and children...
But Nazis never did anything to the US.
BTW did Switzerland ever give back the gold...stolen by the Nazis from their murder victims...that had been stored in banks there?
Lets put things in perspective...a lot of countries hate the US because we are so free, and are full of people from many countries, most of us don't know European history, most of us only know English (and not even the Queens english). We think our country is best (well most of us). The stereotypical US citizen (from the European point of view) is a loud mouthed Texan. We have the most powerful, well trained military in the world (not the largest)
Almost all European countries are smaller than Oklahoma.
So because of all that the US is not liked.
I know many people from many European countries and you know what? We are all the same. We all have families, we all have friends, etc.
The political folks...like the UN members, enjoy pitting one group against the other...it keeps them in power...like the constant battle in Ireland, or the fact the Greeks hate the Turks, or for some reason why every european I have talked to looked down on black people...and that there is an ethnic group in part of the Netherlands that feels discriminated against...I think they are of Russian decent. Or why Islam and Christianity seem to be at war, even though both religions believe in peace on earth.
There has been one other major war since WWII...that was the Cold War...remember?
Russia blocked off Berlin...then built the wall, then spread their borders outward as the USSR. NATO was formed to stop the USSR from expanding their borders. Cuba was one of those battle grounds, so was the middle east...unfortunately...but during the Cold War freedom and Democracy was fighting Communism...eventually the wall came down...but a lot of folks gave their lives for it...and most or ALL of the NATO countries were involved in that war...even the Germans...Actually there are a few countries that are not part of NATO...and who make money selling military arms to countries...like Mirage fighters etc...kind of like what the former Soviet Union did...and what China did...while claiming peace is their only goal...
Don't get me wrong...the US supplied arms to anyone who would fight the USSR. (or in other words, anyone who didn't want to be a communist)...but we didn't sell arms while pointing fingers at others.
Hope that didn't read like a rant...bottom line...lets just all get along, jokes are OK even some jokes about our President...but don't take it too far...
