That is precisely why you do not give in to demands in a hostage situation... If it becomes known that all you have to do is run a plane into a building full of people to have the US stop what you feel is wrong, it would become very common very fast.. Soon you would have green peace, tree huggers using terrorist tacticts too..

You cant simply say "we should stop doing what ever we do that is ****ing these people off". You obviously dont know what it is that the US is supposedly doing in the first place or you would have used that in your arguement. And simply by not knowing the actual reasons for 911, your whole arguement means nothing..

Get some facts and I will listen...

look, what im saying is that they hate america enough to fly planes into buildings that are a trade marks to the most powerful country in the world. I am not saying give into their demands, but to listen to thim. They could have done it because they hate the acording to them the, "sinful lives" we live, they could have done it because they hate the fact that we treat women equal to men, they could have done it because they were really ****ed of at some deal we made with another country, they could have done it because they are completly insane and mentally ill, I really have no idea why they did it, but im sure they must have had plenty of reasons in order to commit such a suicidal act. If they were ****ed off because they thought that we are ignorant to current world events mabey those of us that had no idea whats going on in the world right now could tune into the news for once, im not saying change your ways, beliefs, habits or whatever but consider their theirs too.

They must have had plenty of reasons? I don't care if they had your '100's of reasons' (of which I have only heard 4, by the way). I'll be sure to consider their ways, beliefs and habits when they blow up a building or hijack a plane. I don't care about their feelings as long as we get every last one of them or keep them off balance so they cannot commit another act of terrorism.

for those that may be of the mindset that this is not terrorist related or that saddam had no part in the wtc attack

from a captured iraqi soldier who has been very "helpful" it has been found out that about 12 or so al queida members are hellping saddams troops and directing grenade attacks and such
and that also at least 2 planned attempts to do further terrorist attacks against us citys have been for lack of a better word thwarted <this according to a few radio station coverage broadcasts i heard 2 day >

take it as you will i for one would have been happy if this could have been resolved through better means than war but that option has come and gone so i fully support the troops and the reasons for being over there

look, im was just trying to voice my opinion. I didnt want to start some stupid argument about whose right or wrong, i guess this just isnt the forum to post personal opinions. I guess i will take my opinions elsewhere from now on.

Imation: You jumped into a dscussion. Just because you can't make a valid argument to back up your opinions, doesn't mean that you can't express them here. Just expect to catch some heat if you don't have facts to back up your argument.
You have the right to voice your opinion and I have the right to scrutinize your statements. You can't just fire off a post without a little fact or expect to run into the same result.

It was believed that last night (Thursday) British forces were preparing a military strike on the base where the al-Qaeda unit was understood to be holed up.

A senior British military source inside Iraq said: "The information we have received from PoWs today is that an al-Qaeda cell may be operating in Az Zubayr. There are possibly around a dozen of them and that is obviously a matter of concern to us."

If terrorists are found, it would be the first proof of a direct link between Saddam's regime and Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the 11 September attacks on New York and Washington.

Yes... but did this link exist (if it does exist) before 9/11 and the invasions of Afghanistan / Iraq?... I think its possible that two separate groups were possibly driven together by the events afterwards.
