Any fenix engine management experts? (volvo/mitsubishi)

fenix 3b, gone puft and smoke came out....

car was running fine, switched off, came back few hours later, turned key, but the led on the coded keypad immobiliser did not light up.

decided ecu may be crashed etc, so unplugged and replugged, no change, went to do it again but thought i could smell a burned out resistor or something, so opened it up, was a diode...

Anyone got any info or docs on it?

Only been back on road a month since the tranny had a fit!
