Reformatting xp hard drive

Ok, I am sure this will be an easy one for some of you.

I am in the process of reformattings ome computers and have hit a road block with my xp machine. It seems that the FDISK command is not recognized. This leads me to think I will have to try to just reinstall windows from a disk. But what I really want to do is erase everything and then start new. Thanks for any suggestions.

you can do that right in the XP install. it gives you hte option to delete partitions then create new ones. If not goto bootdisk.com and use one of their disks
