Question Please give me you advice on tinting my windows

I am looking for an effective, cheap yet quality way of tinting my windows. I would take it to a tinit shop but the quote I got was over my budget ($260). I would get the do-it-yourself tinit from Wal mart but it looks like crap, it is cheap purple colored and bubbles up easy. What do you think about this spray tint..... http://www.pjhbrands.com/vht/smokewindowtint.htm ? i am thinking of doing thi but I dont want to F my windows up. i would like it to be dark. thanks

For those of you that have tinted your windows, how was it?

Spray tints are ok but they will wipe out. Very easy to get scratched. Get a bottlefor the hard to reach places and cover the rest with regular tint. For 250 bucks, I'd do my car in a heart beat. They quoted me around 350-400 bucks and I can't tint my own windows. I have 4 windows on each side of my car and one hard to reach one in the back.

I work with a buddy of mine who installs security laminate, this stuff is awesome!! Looks good, comes in light, dark, mirrored and in varying degrees of thickness. You can take a baseball bat to a window and you wont get through it.. With the thicker laminates and thicker glass you can shoot it with a high power gun and it'll stop the bullet.

Anyways, the company is called Ace Laminates and my buddy is a local dealer for it, but I'll give you the main website and you can look for yourself...

Ace Security Laminates

I have this on some of my house windows and am planning on putting it on my van as well, dark tint the back windows and clear tint (or light tint) the driver/passenger front windows...

Thats rediculous $350 US for window tint. In Australia you can get a large family sedan done for $200 AUS, sometimes cheeper when theres deals going like 2 for 1 ect.

Alot of tint shops here dont have set prices so if you go in there and act like you dont know anything about tint they can jack the price up alittle

I shopped around, and paid $125 for it (shops in my area ranged from $115 up to $200), and it was well worth it. I attempted to tint my own windows once in a previous car, and it turned out horrible. I highly recommend you bring it to a shop.
