Sending SMS website?
Hi guys and Gals,
Does anyone know of a website where i can send free texts in the US? There is one that send free texts in the UK O2 but my mate is over in the US and has a US moby...
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.... Can't come up with anything on my searchs

If you send sms messages from your phone regularly anyway, you can still send them to the U.S.- mate of mine was in California for two years and my text messages to him cost exactly the same as sending one to a UK mobile or European mobile. Just use the dial codes and remove the initial zero's etc..
If you're unsure, just ask your network- I did and they confirmed they're the same rate.

sucks how everywhere in the world can send text message to the US but we cant sent them out to the rest of the world. I receive text messange from my friend in Hong Kong all the time.

Funny you should say that- my friend in Cali was sending me text messages regularly (at no extra cost either) then suddenly he couldn't anymore. Don't know why- perhaps the networks don't allow it anymore, but he could still receive my messages...

Use ICQ, you can send SMS to hunderds of countries. You can only send 10 a day however ir you "retry" after 10 it will send for a while but then u wont be abel to send any for a few days.
