Hey! We will defend with the F-18s we bought off the U.S.....ohhh wait.... they have all crashed because they were POS! hahahahaha
In all honesty, I think 3/4 of Americans think that Canada is part of the U.S. anyways....or we are covered in snow and live in igloos!
I even drove to Seattle one day and ran into somebody that grew up about 1 hour south of the US/Canada border, and when I told him I was from Canada he said, "you guys get a lot of snow up there eh?" And I was like..."you grew up 1 hour from us, you really think it is all that different up there?" And he said, "well, I have never been up there so I don't know!"
I felt sorry for him...and I don't blame anybody in the U.S., it is because you aren't really educated about Canada too much, nor do you get much of Canadian TV (which I don't blame you for!), where as we are/do! And I think if you did know more about Canada, you would actually TRY to take us over! hahaha
Anyways, just a good ribbing...not meant to hurt any feelings! I love the U.S. I go down about twice a month (I live 30min from US border), and I really wish our 2 countries remain close (even tho your president has said that Mexico, AND England are your biggest allies!?!)

How much scrutiny do you think this feller is under by the goverment right now? Anyone who can unload 2 working MIGs and an FA-18 has got to be a wet dream to any whacko militia group...scary...

Don't forget...Seattle is in an inversion zone, so we actually get a LOT less snow than even the Washington US/CA border (I'd say maybe hardly over an inch combined over the last 2 years in the city of Seattle itself)...

You're not kidding, buddy! I'd love to waltz in to Whistler Village and say "I claim this land in the name of...err...well...ME!" Until I moved to the NW, I had no idea how beautiful Canada really was... If not for my job, I'd be living in Vancouver or, better yet, Victoria, in a heartbeat...

Yeah I know Seattle doesn't get much snow, I go down there all the time...but really Vancouver, or Victoria doesn't get much snow either...and if it does happen to snow one night, it would be gone by the next day...
I really love Seattle and Portland....even tried to move to Seattle a couple of years back...but my fiance got a better job offer here. We both actually had interviews in Seattle for jobs. And I am really hating Vancouver at the moment, because I've been trying to buy a house for the past 8 months with no luck...the housing market here is going crazy since the we won the Olympics. Friends houses have gone up $200,000 in under 2 years and the average price for a house in the lower mainland (that is greater Vancouver, including suburbs) is almost $400,000. OUCH!

Allies are friends. Canada is more like our little step sister.

BTW, The 2 Mil isn't the problem, it's the 9 mil assembly that's the kicker. Then if you consider the price of fuel.....
