"Michael, my sensors indicate that we have run out of fuel Michael" "Dammit Kitt old buddy, we only just left the trailer!"
2 gallon tank! I didn't realise pursuit mode was so fuel efficient. Man I loved that show, I am such a geek I even have KITTs evil twin KARR saying "do you wish to drive? or shall I?" when my carputer boots All I need is a voice synth that sounds like Kitt and a winamp skin with the led voice display and i'll be a happy (and extremely pathetic) man!

well, this is just one of the MANY MANY KITT cars. they had several variations through the various seasons. remember reading that on some KITT site. I use to love to watch Knight Rider when I was a wee babe! *drools over ebay auction*

sorry to say but KITT is overpriced at $40,000 and it doesn't come with KITT's computer. just the display panels hehe. so that's another $1000-$2000 to install a carputer inside and buy KITT's voice module.
the same shop is selling Magnum PI's Ferrari and it's only $60,000!

There is a guy out there selling refurb kits to mod out a Firebird (body/dash/interior) to look just like the car in the show, with the exception of the voicing of course. However, the voice modulation indicator (the lights that flashed with KITT's voice) work with the stereo as an EQ display.
Everything else, including the two indash monitors, works (or at least beeps and lights up when you hit the buttons).

sorry man, the car in that pic is a Ford XC coupe, modified for the movie Mad Max staring Mel Gibson.
