Dead Honda!!!

So I'm cruising home the other night, and my loud *** old 87 Honda Accord starts sputtering on the downshift coming down the freeway exit ramp, then sputtering some more heading out onto the surface street. A mile and a half from home, I heard a clattering starting up under the hood, and smoke started billowing from behind me.

I babied it home, gave the gas one last goose in the parking lot, and knew immediately what was wrong. BLOWN ROD BEARING.

So, my POS is dead, and now I need some quick and cheap local transport. Anybody in Michigan have a decent scooter they're looking to get rid of? I've got $1,000 available to spend, and I need something that can do 40mph+.

HELP!!

Thanks dude, but I'm looking for the sit down type, capable of about 45mph. I live about 9 miles from work, so I would need something that could be street legal in town here.
