Unpack a .exe slideshow?

I got married a few weeks ago and the photographer has sent us a CD with all the pictures to check out - but all the pictures are packed into a .exe slideshow that expires after a few days. You cannot even print the pictures through the slideshow. They are trying to make us buy the pictures from them...

Any ideas short of the "printscreen" button?

alt+printscreen? i work for a photography studio, but we're nice and don't do that...

maybe a little more information might be helpful, as in what program is it that they used, etc...

and even if you do manage to capture the images, they will be crap for quality. definately not printable at a decent quality, but they'd be ok for web and viewing on the computer

Yeah, I looked - just says "application". Its a real PITA. I got out the "on screen" keyboard and managed to somehow printscreen one of them - but it wouldnt let me do a second. I guess I could video out to another computer and print screen on it :P. But that just seems like too much work for something so simple.

I guess the slideshow expires at the end of the month too...

Download Irfanview. Use the screen capture and bind a key to save a screenshot to a file.

As the show plays, hit the button on the images you want to save.

(or you could just pay and get them high quality)

Thanks for the tip...Ill give it whirl

We are going to pay for the ones we want printed and whatnot...but there are a ton of random reception pics of friends and family that Id like to put up on a website for them to view. I could careless about having a paper copy of them as the majority look like they were taken with any old camera. They are just fun pictures that the photographer took durring the wedding and reception...no need for them to put in a binder.

Plus, I paid enough for him already :P

Depending on how well the screenshot program is setup - try a resource editor ( http://delphi.icm.edu.pl/ftp/tools/ResHack.zip ) and open the screenshot exe up and see if theres any picture files you can export.

Heh...I havent messed around with it in a while, but I have been meaning to. My next plan is to remote in from another PC and do a print screen through it. Not sure how it will affect resolution though.
