Florida folks: Hope everyone made it thru the hurricane ok
Got power and internet back today so I just thought I would post and see how everyone else did.
Hope everyone else in florida made it through ok.
We were fortunate and didn't have any property damage.
How did eveyone else fare?

Good times.
I was super lucky had power and everything back Saturday morning!! No damage to the house or neighbor, and I live in Orlando.
I think you needed to be east of I4 to get the more serious stuff... Sucks so many are still out of power...

What amazes me about the whole thing was how many small aircraft were destroyed. I mean, really, if you're gonna evacuate anyway, why not use your $300,000 aircraft to get out of the state rather than your $40,000 SUV?

Isn't John1701 from the Port Charlotte area?
Anyone know how he did?
I know some other people from the meet were from at least from the Tampa area if not from farther south.
Defiler - Did you have any property damage?

No property damage. This is exactly why I'm thanking god for the turn. About a month and a half ago when a 60MPH wind/rain stom came through here I had an Oak tree go through my roof and I had a ton of water damage. The roof finally got fixed two days before Charlie hit land. I know I would've had at least two more Oak trees cut my house in half if it passed over my house.

my house survived. I work nights, when i went to bed in the morning, it was suposed to head through Tampa, when i woke up it was "headin right fore us". like the white trash that we are, my parents waited to the last minuite to try and secure all of the various junk (or as i like to call them lethal projectiles) outside. I bet my neighbors were nervous.

I live in the Cape Coral / Ft. myers area and i am still trying to get a few things cleaned up from Charley. My poperty damage was minimal, but so many tress were knocked down in my yard that i am still tring to chainsaw them all up. This recent one was luckly nothing for the area I am living. Hopefully the new one Ivan will pass us by also.
