san antonio TX: 1.94 at the airport, 1.89 off the highway a bit, and 1.85 at walmart
I used to live in Brooklyn, NY and that was tough. i realised, that i was only paying attention to my car when i had to move it for alternate parking... though when i got my recent job, i was in it for bout 9-10 hous a day. thats when i got to this site (by a fortunate mistake) and built (am still building) my sweet baby
Cheers

bgoodman and I are in the same area, so I'll go with his statement.
Worst I ever paid was during the move earlier this year. At some place between Modesto & Bakersfield I paid $2.54/gal for 87-octane.

My wife tells me about gas prices in Europe and it helps me feel a little better but here in Memphis average just hit $1.95 (87) a gallon.
For those of you that are Metrically challenged, there are bout 4 liters in a gallon, approximately. that would make 85.9p per liter(re) about £3.43. BUT seeing as how the pound is about 1.5x the dollar, I don't have as much sympathy <g>
Not to mention, you can walk to the pub <g> that alone is upsetting )=
Try to walk to a decent bar here in Memphis and you'll be walking a few hours through dangerous ground.
