Scariest Movies for Halloween?

What is the:

a) scariest movie that you would recommend for Halloween viewing?
b) best family Halloween movie for when kids are around?

I just saw the Grudge and was not too impressed. I would have to say:

a) Exorcist (I haven't seen it in a long time though)
b) It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown or any of the Simpson's Halloween specials.

Those Faces of Death movies are kind of cool to play in the background at a Halloween party. Are those real?

a) The Ring

maybe not typical halloween fare, but it's certainly scary!

Fantasy Mission Force. Something about the Japanese abducting Allied generals from a jungle camp in northern Canada and taking them to Luxemburg. Truly frightening, frightening I tell you!

I'll agree with those choices, but see the originals. Don't forget about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and TCM 2 if you want a good laugh while you're at it.
