mp3 player recommendations

Okay after 5 yrs my mp3 player finally died on me. It's a generic, CF based, basic portable drive that can be used as an mp3 player. I got it off of ebay. It's been good to me but now it needs replacing. When I bought it it was only $40 w/out CF. I bought a 256mb CF card to go with it. So does anyone have any suggestions on what/where to buy a cheap mp3 player that I can use my CF flash card with? I already checked newegg and compgeeks. They really didn't have anything that I was interested in. I don't need an Ipod since I only use it when running or lifting. I just need something to listen to while working out. Anything under $100 would be great....help!

What brand of mp3 player did you have? Did you like the overall design of that player? If so, then maybe you should just buy the same thing. If it did what you needed it to do, then why not. If that's not what you're into now, then I suggest checking out iRiver. Not sure if they have a CF solution, but they do have some good, cheap players.

Good news!! It's alive. I thought I did it before, but I guess not...I pulled the batteries and the CF card and put them back in and it worked. I love this player. It's survived a lot!
