. It was nice that the author differentiated between noob and newb in the guide, although the former tends to be used almost exclusively for both "breeds" in practice.
One common forum practice (which I noticed the mp3car forums does not implement) is a minimum post count for access to Avatars, FS Forums and Custom Text etc. This usually accounts for a vast majority of forum spamming by new users simply trying to get their post count up!
These "me too" posts can often be often more annoying than noob posts IMHO.
