Help Nikki
If you're a cat lover with a PayPal account and an extra $5 or $10, please think about helping Nikki.
I can't be 100% sure that this isn't a scam, but it looks legit from what I can tell. At least click the link and see for yourself.
Note: I have no affiliation with this site, its owner, or the cat. I came across it by following a link off of the fark.com forums, and wanted to spread the word.

I'm going to take this into a new tangent here....
This is the new era of voluntary charity. I have no desire to help save their cat. I'm not a cat lover, and couldn't care less.
But the fact that people who need money for whatever purpose (crippled feline, sick kid, credit card debt, whatever) can solicit donations from anyone willing to throw 'em a few bucks is pretty damn cool.
It's entirely up to the web page viewer as to whether or not they donate to the cause. You're not pressured. You're not being imposed with 36-hour guilt-a-thons on multiple networks.
You slip the underpriviledged a few bucks through PayPal and you get that warm fuzzy feeling from helping someone out in a time of need.

If the goal of $1200 isn't reached by March 28th, 2005 all Pay Pal donations will be reversed in full. We will have to put him down as we can not see him suffer with this disability.
WTF
So far donated $ 485.07
I hear, "please hurry you only got 4 days to go, give us the rest of the money else I cant go on holiday"
Like to see another video after the ops if they ever get the money required.

I love cats, all animals really. Im not sending them anything. For surgery that only costs around 1000 usd? thats seems to little to cure a crippled cat. That is really not all that much to save for. I mean thats like one year without cable. Is their cat worth it? It just really ****es me off to see some stuff like that. Now if it was a few thousand or millions. Id think about it. Its like those damn tv comercals about the poor kids in where ever. What people dont notice about those comericals, is that they are the same ones from years ago..? I mean im not going to pay money to feed their ***. Ill pay money for you to teach them how to feed themselves. Im a really lovey type of person some times. I say **** the warm feeling. Now if they had a jar at the gas station and i had a few pennies, id throw them in then. Thats about it. Tell if their cat is worth it they will just have to cut back on a few things, or ask those around them. If those poor kids cant get food, teach them how to fish.

Man that just makes me sad to see that. I'm a big animal fan and I hate to see any animal in that kind of condition. Nice to see that people have donated.
On a side note, who names a male cat Nikki?????

Im not either, cats are good for nothing. Ill prefer a dog anytime, much more loyal to who own them.
I guess some owner pick their animals that suit their personality

Hope they didnt inject some anesthetic on the poor cats leg for video shooting purpose thats what it looked to me. Poeple do all some funny stuff these days you know.
If that cat is owned by some poor little kids then yeah Ill consider donating.
The "give us all the money by 28th of march" kinda puts me off.

A similar thing happened to my cat. The vet said that it was unlikely to fully recover and would not be able to jump, climb etc and that there was no operable solution. Needless to say my cat got fed up with dragging it's arse around, recovered in a few months and still jumps to/from whatever height it damn well pleases.
Wish I'd thought of asking donations though. after paying the $100 consultation fee I could have had a pretty good holiday.

If I lived in a family where my parents didn't care about me enough to come up with $1500 to save my life, I'd probably not want to burden anyone else with that guilt.
On that happy thought, what's the deal with Easter Monday? I thought the whole resurectation thingamajig was on a Sunday...
