I have seen the most amazing thing.
Due to a returning ban, I have been monitoring the new user
registrations for a while to keep him out 
Anyway, of the last 5 new users, all 5 have went straight to the Newbie
forum, and started reading the FAQs !!!!!!!!!!
I must be dreaming.

The brits knew you were watching so we created 5 new logins and deliberately did something so out of character for a newb.
Next we'll all be making good use of the  function.

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

Hmmm. That gives me an idea. Maybe the n00bs should ONLY have access to the FAQs and the search function when they first log on. Everything else would show but be greyed out as non-functional until they read the FAQs. And there would be a timer to see how long they looked at the page...
Upon clicking the "New Thread" button, they'd get a popup that informs them they'll be flamed mercilessly if they ask a redundant question.
