yes and half life 2. im just deciding whether the x50v is worth the extra $150. it has a 16mb graphics processor in it. and was wondering what the x30 had. im assuming its a 256kb but not sure.

There are some that do, but they're not playable.
Don't get a PPC.

I dont quite understand WHY you need to know how big it is? In that respect X30 is the same as almost any other PDA, except the X50v. It will play videos, music and open your excel files, what else?

I've read through the Tom's Hardware Guide on it (prepare the flame suit!) and it mentions that the processor is responsible for performance on graphics, not a video adapter.

I had an x50 (got stolen) and they are awesome. I had a Sony Clie NX70V and it was a vast improvement. PPC is much better than Palm hands down. I had palm OS5 and it was alright, but it took about a year for them to enable the clie to play mp3's from another program than the one Sony provides. The x50 is a PDA I would highly recommend.

THG had some credebility problems before... but I would not be surprised if that was true. I am looking at this X30/X50 thing myself right now, but I seriously cannot figure out what the hell that 16mb video memory would be doing in a PocketPC. Accelarting wifi?

Movies. Full length movies.

right right, the ones that fit on DVDs. And those DVDs fit into that.. err.. i mean.. wait... yeah. Actually movies can be played without the video thingy (cant quiet call it an accelerator) and I really question the sanity of a person that will get a 1gig+ memory card filled with just one movie to watch on the road on a small screen... until the battery runs out, which would be damn quick.
The only reason I can see the x50v needing it, is because the thing has twice the resolution of x30, so that might be causing some difficulties for the video part, even if short.
